So this will likely sound stupid for most Diablo fans, but the fact you lose all your stuff when you die kind of ruins the game for me.
I actually do love this game. The atmosphere, the character building, the gameplay. But I'm at the end of act 2 and there's a section of the game where I keep dying. I found the right temple and I'm navigating my way to Tal Rasha’s Chamber, but getting there is hard.
I've even stopped playing for a few months, came back hoping I could pass it, but died again. I go back to where I died to get my stuff, but the anxiety it gives me that I could lose everything really makes the game not fun for me.
Normally when there's a section of a game I struggle with, I just keep playing it until I get it, but Diablo is very unforgiving in that regard.
Now.. I understand that this is a component of the game, a lot of people like it, and if I don't like this, the game just might not be for me. However, I do like everything else about the game and would like to continue on, so before I give up I was just wondering if there was some way to navigate this aspect of the game?
Is there a way to strategically use portals? I find whenever I use a portal to go back to the home base, I return back to where I was and get completely swarmed by enemies. When you do lose everything, are there ways to bounce back I'm not aware of?
I'm playing on Switch.
