Have played the game for a very long time but never got into the theory crafting of builds and stats on items. Currently working on a lighting fury javazon. 2 questions I need some input on

1) making a low level insight for early/mid-game, is a slow attack speed polearm a bad idea?

2) want to make a Smoke runeword and I’ve been told to find a 2os mage plate, but it’s always a 1 or 3os that I find. Are there other viable armors I can use for this runeword? I have a serpentskin and ghost armor available to use
