As you know, class change is coming next patch, which you can read about here in a pre-release blog:

So if you are like me who already has every single off hand legendary unlocked and want to try some other classes, you should want and see how class change works exactly before cashing in on the BP legendary because it’d be more useful unlocking an essential legendary than gambling for a stat upgrade.
