My thoughts on end-game and a suggested solution.
Post Body

First off, I have really enjoyed this game, despite its obvious problems. I have work to do or I would be playing right now. I usually get bored of games relatively quickly quickly. Skyrim was the last game that I really liked and i've spent less time on that game than this one. At least in my opinion, that says something about the games worth.

However, I feel like once I've beaten inferno and gotten killed in hardcore a few more times, I will get bored with it. I'm right with Kripp and anyone who agrees with him, but I have an alternative suggestion.

Warcraft 3 (and Starcraft to a lesser degree) was another game I played for a long time. What especially kept my interest about the game was the player created content. The custom maps, dota, td's, rpgs, whatever. That was what was most fun for me, I even tried to make some. I like to program stuff, thats just me, but a lot of others enjoy playing the player created content. Something similar in WoW is the UI mods. I am not claiming to have detailed knowledge about how it should be implemented, but if it could be done, it would be awesome. No ARPG that I know of has done something like that and it would be a great way to keep people playing aside from Kripp's ideas. It would likely be a lot of work up front, but after its solid, its good to go for the long haul.

Anyway, Id be surprised if this gained traction, but fuck it.

TL;DR : Player created content could be a solution to the end-game problem.
