Hey guys, i'm new to the series and just grabbed D1 off G.O.G
My experience with the franchiseb and genre is an hour or 2 On D3 and a few hours on P.O.E
I want to emmerse myself into the world which is Diablo and have decided to start at the very beginning
I managed to install everything O.K but one issue i'm having is that from the install i have from G.O.G i can launch
*diablo normal (L.A.N supported) *hellfire
With no issues at all
I can't launch
*Diablo Classic (blizzard supported)
I have googled everthing i can think of and tried many of what i found to no avail. I continusly get "DirectDrawerror"
I was messing around with my second P.C. "windows 10 home" and decided to D.L and install and see what hapened.
Every mode of diablo succseffully launches.
But for some reason on my Main P.C (windows 10 pro)
Classic refuses work. I'm stumped haha.
Anybody ran into the same issue?
Now that that's out of the way, i have a couple of questions while i'm here haha
I'm playing warrior as my first clasa and didn't realise the black death zombies nuked health perm. How much of an issue is this? I don't mind playing at a disadvantage... i like a challenge. But i'm still trying to wrap my head around how everything works and am worried i might have gimped my char.
This wirt kid seems to be taking the damn piss lol every time i get close to being able to afford his available item or it seems whwn i do have enough money he upgradeas it to something more expensive lol
Is there any enemy health indicators in vanilla?
I'm quite a purist whenever i play something the first time (i try go in blind and experience the game complete vanilla with no mods as best as i can majority of the time) but with my googling i keep seeing the Devilutionx Mod over and over again.
Is there any mods id just be absolutely stupid not to have? I would prefer to keep the mechanics and game as base and and pure as original, but if theres a mod thats just a no brainer i'm open to hear about it!
So far i'm loving it! I'm currently at level 6 and starting to feel myself getting more and more invested.
Sorry for the wall of text!
Cheers guys!
