I am a long time drug addict and alcoholic, who’s technically in recovery. I wouldn’t call tonight a relapse, because I’m not going to go back to taking DXM every day, but I don’t think I can put it down forever. The last time I had a DXM trip was probably about 6 or 7 months ago on 5 oz of Delsym. As much as I love DXM, it lasted a little bit too long, so this time I’m going with the Robitussin gels. Never actually tried these before, even in my years of dextromethorphan abuse. Always just went with the Robitussin syrup cuz it was faster than dosing a fuckload of pills. God, I can still remember that foul, putrid taste. Made me puke almost every time. I once drank 16 oz of Robitussin back in my heyday and somehow managed to keep it all down.

Just dosed 450mg of the Robitussin gels, awaiting liftoff currently. Does anybody else notice a significant antidepressant effect from DXM? I’ve never tried ketamine personally, but I experience an undeniable antidepressant effect from DXM, and since it’s a dissociative as well, I can see how ketamine would aid with depression. Thinking about dosing about 150mg diphenhydramine at the peak to potentiate it and give it that dream-like hazy effect to my experience. Or I might just say fuck that and just smoke down on some weed and hash during my trip. Guess we’ll cross that road when we get there.
