In anticipation of launch, I am looking for one or two people who are knowledgable of factories to help create city or claims bastions. If you are new but do your research (reference aleksey's post), you are welcome to take up one of these posts.

If you are new but looking for for a state, you are welcome in Choson to work as a laborer. This means mining for roughly 30-45 minutes at a time to gather resources necessary to fuel factories.

Choson will be a meritocratic one-party state. This means the structure and authority of the State comes through a single political party, the Yi party, in order to maintain efficiency.

New players take note: Many states on Devoted, due to their small sizes (5-10 active players) are informally and often unknowingly one-party states. It is the nature of things.

In order of importance, the general policies and aims of the Yi party (and thus Choson) are as follows:

1. All persons of Choson (party members or not) are guaranteed free and permanent public housing. This allows newfriends to always have a place to stay, as well as providing a sort of physical registry for all peoples who have ever resided in the state.

2. All groups of structures (private or public) must have a designated Party member as Mod. We will respect the integrity of your property, but this is necessary to allow for deconstruction in case of city-planning or inactivity of the homeowner

3. The entire city must be bastioned. This will start with claims bastions, and eventually be upgraded to City bastions.

4. The city must have a comprehensive land registry and road system instated.

5. Establish a regular diplomatic missions to other States.

6. Partition party members into 3 sects of service - State, Production, and Infrastructure. State members will comprise the military and diplomats. Production members are miners and factory workers. Infrastructure includes builders and city-planners (this Sect will have delayed development, as the first two Sects require development first in the first week to support Infrastructure). The heads of each of these sects convenes into the Council, which advises and plots to overthrow (jk pls no) the Party leader, me. I will likely rotate out of this position given I see a competent successor and the State is going well.
