so recently I picked up 1-3 on my switch. 3 was my first DMC back on the PS2, and I moved onto 4&5 from there. Saw that we're on sale on switch, so decided to give the older games a shot. One thing I'm impressed with is how well these games have aged. It's saying something that a PS1 game is still even playable by todays standards, and while they are obviously less in depth than the rest of the series, I think they hold up very well. The only problem I have is in 2 where the story feels a bit slapped together, and also way easier than any other dmc, but compared to what I've heard about the game, I'm surprised I had as much fun as I did with it. Especially the combat system in 2, it a bit wonky compared to the rest of the series, but once you figure out how it works I had a lot of fun with it.
