$40 from Temu & very accurate. This tool measures the full thickness of your paint/primer/clear. If your wet sanding or polishing a car that you didn’t buy brand new (or even if you did - dealer & the factory can do spot repairs) - this is a great tool for a serious detailer to have.
I repainted this panel myself, to the paint is very thick. Most factory paint is 150 microns or less. Aprox 50% of that is the clear coat you have to work with
