A proposed solution to the Ada-1 issue

Post Body

It's not a secret that Ada-1 is one of the reasons that new players struggle hard to get into the game. Here's my take, that is heavily based on something my friend said.

The light subclasses from Ikora have their own UI and menu for purchasing the aspects and grenades and fragments etc. This is what Ada-1 needs, and there are multiple reasons why.

  1. Obviously it would stop the hardcore RNG gatekeep for new players to get mods. Many mods if not all would be available to buy from a large, organized menu.

  2. It would allow Bungie to categorize all of their mods. If I tell a new player that x charged with light mod and x warmind cell mod is in the shop, they wouldn't exactly know what that means, and they wouldn't be able to check collections to see how mods build off of each other because those mods are just categorized as "combat style." A large, categorized menu makes it easy for players to see how mods play off of each other.

  3. If Bungie really, REALLY needed to keep the week to week/day to day availability, they could just cycle categories of mods daily/weekly. Week one all elemental well mods are available, week 2 all charged with light mods, week 3 all warmind mods, etc. I personally think weekly would be best so that people don't have to make sure they're able to log on during that day, but a daily rotation also has its own advantages (don't have to wait as long for a category).
