Greetings, Guardians.

I used to be a regular daily Destiny/Destiny 2 player all the way up through Shadowkeep when due to life events I was forced to take a break from gaming and am now wanting to get back into the game but am confused by the expansion offerings and was hoping you could help clear things up.

I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos for returning players to get caught up on updates and features but the one thing they don't seem to talk much about is what specifically you need to purchase to access all of the new worlds, areas and features and trying to make sense out of the information on the PS store was giving me more questions than answering what I wanted to know.

My question is what expansion/upgrade/pack do I need to purchase in order to get back up to date and have access to everything that is available? I know they've sunset Forsaken and some other content. I'm concerned that the current options for the Witch Queen (even the deluxe edition) does not include Beyond Light or other previous content. Obviously seasonal things I missed out on (that's their strategy afterall) but as far as existing content which option do I chose to have a complete edition of the game? In other words, what's the "buy this to be completely up to date" option I am looking for?
