PSA: I am in no way supporting Savathun as a good person first and foremost. This is just my opinion about her being the one to tell Crow the truth of who he was and what he did.

We all know that Savathun is not to be trusted in the slightest, but in my opinion, she was the right person to reveal to Crow of who he was.

Honestly, there were a few candidates that could tell him, but I truly believe that Savathun was the best person to reveal the truth because I think she showed him everything.

If you've done the Week 6 quest and listened to the Comms table on the Awoken side of the Helm, you'll hear Crow begging Ikora to either reassign him or revoke his status as a Guardian. Ikora responds calmly, which is by far the best thing to do in a situation like that and tells him that they could use an advisor for Caitatl.

Savathun hurt Crow, even showing him that we needed to murder Uldren through unthoughtful revenge for Cayde, but at least he forgives us for doing what needed to be done.

As I stated, Savathun was by far the best person to reveal the truth. I believe she kept her word and showed him the full truth, unbent and unchanged.

If someone else, for example Mara were to tell him, she'd bend the truth saying that we killed Uldren because we wanted to, and she scolds Ikora during the Week 5 transmission for "not bringing Crow to his home".

Say what you will but Savathun was the right person for the job.
