Can We Still Get Mats To Upgrade The Splicer Gauntlet?

I am 3 upgrades away from finishing the Splicer title objectives. I played a bunch of Override last night with my last key codes to open chests for decrypted data and got about 200 but I noticed none of the enemies I killed dropped ether. No ether means no decrypted data from key code chests right? So am I unable to complete the last three Splicer Gauntlet upgrades or am I missing something?
