My friend and I finally got our light level high enough to reasonably do the first forge only to find out the light level for it has been raised by 5. It's been grindy enough with the monotonous dailies to try and get a good enough light level to do the forge and now we need to grind even more to get it up just that little bit more. It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't keep getting powerful gear for the same slot aka no upgrades.

So in short, if you are coming back to Destiny for the new content don't expect to do it without dragging your face on the keyboard for weeks to get an even higher light level than before.
