I know Bungie's got a lot of other things to fix but I consider armour design to be a very important issue in Destiny.
The 3 big issues I have are Titan pauldrons, Warlock gauntlets and Hunter cloaks. Tl;dr, change the armour sets back to D1 style.
First, Titans. I don't understand, what is it with MMO style games and giant ass space marine pauldrons? Warhammer, WoW, StarCraft and now Destiny where soldiers wear huge buckets on their shoulders that limits their movements and line of sight. Titans are supposed to be the practical ones when it comes to armour. Just like Cayde says in the Tower: "Why?" It's not just pauldrons but some entire armour sets that look way too bulky to even waddle in.
Who was the guy that thought Warlock gauntlets should be separated from their pauldrons? Titans and Hunters get to choose what they want on their shoulders, why not Warlocks? I liked the shoulder piece from Brother Vance but since it's part of the chest piece which looks dumb I can't use it. And look what happened to Ophidian Aspects! It looks so stupid now, wtf Bungie?
Hunter cloaks...were you guys not even trying? These were the most lazy and uninspired cloaks I've ever seen. I have nothing more to say on the matter.
The armour design in Destiny 1 was leagues ahead of what D2 has. I hope it's corrected by the Fall.
