Should I keep Destiny downloaded until I load up D2 or is it safe to delete?

Title says it all ladies and gentlefolk.
Wondering if deleting D1 will exclude me from any juicy load up content. Content tailor made for those of us that have sold their souls to xur for a hawkmoon way back in year one lol.
Those of us that have had to grind for the Vex Mythoclast not once... but twice.
Those of us that have strapped in for each and every loot cave and clawed our way from patch to patch. Hoping that, one day, this brutally unrewarding game would come to love us back.
