... and here's why.
I am 29 years old, I have a wife and two boys (2 and 5) and I work a full 40 (more like 60) hours a week. I get one or two good gaming nights a week in for raids, nightfall, racing, whatever the flavor of the week is. I have my Warlock to LL306(I think?) and I am ready to experience other aspects of the game. I don't want to have to start from the ground level and spend two or three weeks (at my one or two nights a week) leveling up a new character. I am glad this is a thing, otherwise it would be me still just on my warlock, and I wouldn't bother trying another class because of the time involved.
I know theres been crap flung at Bungie for the "pay to win" model, and I am upset they lied about it, and said they wouldn't do that. However, I am glad it's an option, they just should have been honest about it in the beginning. I am glad they are making the game's content (end-game and PvP) more accessible to the people who can't throw a lot of time into Destiny.
Edit: removed verbage to follow the rules.
