The time right before major expansions can be very boring and stale, so I've put together a little list of things you can do to spice your game up a little bit.

Weapons

Using the same guns for everything gets old fast wether you're playing PvE or PvP. With the recent news many people are saying that they don't need Bungie to force them to choose new guns, well maybe it's time to prove it. Shelf that The Last Word and chuck that Gjally in the trash (just kidding set it gingerly in your vault and tuck it in). Use some auto rifles in PvP, use some pulse rifles in PvE. Whatever you're using now replace it with something you never use.

Change your play style too. If you're a sniper maybe it's time to get up close (or not that close) and personal with a shotgun. Maybe if you're a dirty blinky slidy shotgunner play the game like a man and use a fusion rifle. Maybe if you use a fusion... what, nobody? No Mythoclast doesn't count. I started using Atheons Epilogue and now I can't stop. (Seriously help me nobody takes me seriously anymore)

Subclasses

Dust off that old Voidwalker, fist some dregs in PvE, maybe even start a whole new character! You can go even further than that. If you run Fireborn try Radiant Skin out for a bit. Maybe instead of Hungering Blade go with whatever else is in that column, God knows I've never checked.

Gamemodes

Despite popular claims, there's a lot to do in Destiny. If you like playing PvP give strike playlists some wear, if you're a hardcore raider you might find that Control is your new side girl. (Just don't tell Atheon) Whatever you don't do every week, do. Wether it's trying Skolas for the first time, participating in the Trials of Exotic Hand Cannons ^{andtoalesserextenttwoburstpulserifles,} or God forbid run a daily or two.
