So, before we get to the expansion I have to explain something. I made a dungeon a while back that directly leads into this expansion as a set up. I'll explain how afterwards.

So onto the basics of the story.

We leave the system and find a planet that houses an Eliksni faction we have never seen before. We learn of their history and discover that they were banished from Riis after having heretical views on The Great Machine.

This Eliksni then left and roamed the system until coming into Contact with the Voice in The Darkness, which showed them new powers and The Whirlwind, affirming their beliefs.

So seeing the Great Machine had left their old civilization in ruin they feared it would one day return to do the same to the new one. Using the Powers of darkness they built their own great machine that had their leaders' mind combined with it to forever watch over them as a Sentient Machine God.

And once we arrive this Machine God recognizes us as a weapon made by The Great Machine, and security frames are made to neutralize us. However these security frames are weirdly reminiscent of Rasputin's. These frames have the same patterns of playing and the same colors, but they are Eliksni designed now.

After fighting we finally discover the reason as to why. Clovis fled from Our system with Eliksni from Europa and discovered this faction. He manipulated them into believing he could aid them against the threat they feared would come for them, and warned them of us.

So using his genius he modified their great machine to give him full access and make an army of his own that he could control at will.

This is all possible because of the Dungeon idea I had that takes place beforehand, where Eliksni raid the Crypt and we track them through debris and caves, and then into the vex network before finally re emerging where the Pyramid ship was, however it's now gone. Clovis has been put into a new body with Splicer Technology imbedded within and can interact with Machines far better than ever before. Which allowed him to fully recode The Machine God.
