Just did grandmaster excision and wanted to share my thoughts on it. I know some people are complaining a lot about non match-made activities but seriously just go join an lfg for this one I promise it is not that bad (it's how I completed it too). You don't need text or voice chat just try and be on the same side for getting the plates at the start.

For starters I think this is my favorite mission that destiny has put out as it is 100% pretty accessible however, some of my issues stem from the fact that it is laggy as can be. Someone in our lfg crashed and I think my game was barely keeping itself afloat even with me running a 3080. I pity the console players who are rocking this mission. If you are on a low end pc make sure everything is turned all the way down. Along with this champs will randomly be full health and then not be full health and die instantly or simply disappear off of the map. If you are worried about dying stay in the bubble as you are pretty much invincible in there.

You get an ergo sum, pinnacle reward, ergo sum catalyst, and a golf ball. The ergo sum catalyst gives you ammo on transcendent nade damage for ergo sum.

Outside of these issues the mission was great and I would heavily recommend everyone to give it a try in an lfg if they don't have a staggering 11 other people to do it with. (Also outbreak is king)
