[STATED BRIEFLY: Is it worth it to jump in as a beginner or should I just find a different game to get into?] I was a destiny 1 fanatic. I played since right after launch all the way until destiny 2 came out. By the end of the game I was a total vet who would carry people through raids I had already completed for the week just for fun. I loved that game so much and sunk literal MONTHS worth of hours into that game. But once D2 was announced and they talked about all the changes that were happening I was so angry. No random loot rolls on weapons, almost all the exotics just come through the super easy storyline. Eververse store. The list goes on, but at the top of the list was the fact that NOTHING was going to be transferred from the original game. I felt betrayed by bungie that my precious characters that I had sunk every waking minute of free time I could spare into would have to be abandoned (Yes I know a lot of things have changed since launch, itβs a completely different game compared to then). But all of this is to ask: is it worth it to jump into this massive game that is 6 years old now and has had SO MANY expansions? Or would it be too overwhelming for a beginner that has no friends who play to guide them through the game? I always see clips online and pictures in the PlayStation and Xbox store and the guardians look SICK and it makes me want to play, but Iβm a little intimidated by how different the game looks from what I remember and all the content that I am unfamiliar with.
