What's your favorite GMs to run and which ones just make you cringe?

Favorite:

  1. Warden of Nothing - fast, short, and just fun overall. I like testing/trying a lot of off-meta builds (stuff like Fallen Sunstar) here as its easy to keep up/contribute. Boss arena can be a little scary if you don't instaburn him but a WellLock can easily mitigate the splash damage.
  2. Birthplace of the Vile - love the enemy density. fairly fast/short. no major chokepoints of frustration. Love running ContraLock and Lemonarch for mopping up big groups of ads. Boss can drag a bit but he's fairly easy to avoid and the ad spawns are easy enough to spawn camp.
  3. The Glassway - yes I actually enjoy this once its just put on the rotation way way WAY too much. Fairly simple up until the boss room (just watch the snipers) where there is a pretty big difficulty spike and it definitely requires some teamwork and thinking. Strand has made the boss room a lot easier IMO for folks who have historically struggled with the Chickens and Overloads. The huge boost to Machineguns has made things easier as well especially since the GM is typically Void Burn so Retrofit and Commemoration shine.

Hated:

  1. A Garden World - enough said...the length is just insane and the boss arena is an absolute deathtrap...pure nightmare fuel...I don't even like doing this one as a standard Nightfall let alone Strike.
  2. Exodus Crash - again the length and the boss room...can't even imagine what the pre-nerf boss would be like in this GM...the snipers also a huge pain in the ass.
  3. The Corrupted - once again the length and the boss room. if you can 1 phase Sedia not as big of an issue but if you have to go into the chase section you risk teammates getting booped off at the final stand and that little arena is just painful. the ogres/phasing section is just painfully long. too bad because overall I love this strike and its setting but as a GM I just can't stand it.
