Why Neomuna shouldn’t have been Lightfall’s destination.

As the title says, Neomuna shouldn’t have been this dlc’s destination. What should have? The Last City. An actual fleshed out patrol zone dedicated to to defending the last city from the witness, not a completely random neon city we’ve never heard of before with characters we don’t care about. The entire gameplay experience could be nearly the exact same, maneuvering around the city with strand stopping the invading cabal and darkness fleet. This time, it’d be actually meaningful and emotional as this is THE LAST CITY, a city we’ve been watching over like an eagle from the tower for the past 10 years. Some of my favorite ever destiny moments were the ones where we are down in the streets and life of the city itself. Destiny 2’s red war campaign, scourge of the past, the event right before beyond light released. Most of the story beats could have stayed the same too! Just picture how wildly different the experience would have been on a emotional level. dropping into the middle of the last city from a cabal drop ship, fighting the cabal and witness on our own home turf, defending the people of the last city living up to the title of Guardian instead of the weird holographic projections of the neomunians.

there’s so much more I could say, just been thinking about this a lot. What are your thoughts?
