So I've been thinking more about the upcoming changes to GMs and the ability to focus weapons. 5 Platinum runs = 1 Adept Weapon that can be focused (on top of the guaranteed drops already from completions). This week after roughly 30 Birthplace of the Vile completions so far I have yet to have a Hung Jury Adept drop with Rapid Hit/Explosive Payload - yep good old RnJesus can be an absolute donkey! Now I actually enjoy this particular GM especially with the Void burn because builds like Contravese/Vortex and Gyrfalcons absolutely shine and are very fun to run! Plus I've been stacking and Masterwork vaulting tons of Golfballs and shards. The cherry on top would be getting that Rapid/Explosive roll but I'm definitely not breaking my back or rage quitting over it, especially considering I have a non-Adept version that I got in Season of Splicer.

All of this grinding though got me thinking that it would be really nice to have a way to focus the GM engrams for a particular perk pool. For those around in Season of the Hunt when BL launched it had a system for the Wrathborn Hunts. You could slot specific materials to focus the perk pool on weapons ie. I could slot the artifact for Deafening Whisper to potentially roll Ambitious Assassin/Rampage but to exclude Quickdraw, etc.. Another idea (like how the current Vanguard reset works) is something like when you do a Zavala reset it unlocks extra perks or maybe the ability to specifically focus one perk (whether per roll or per full reset of Vanguard rank).

Anyways just curious what others think about this. I doubt we'll see this as again this new system is just an extra incentive for those of us who like to grind out GMs since the weekly weapon is already a guaranteed drop when you finish the Strike.
