Bungie.
Guys.

I love you guys, I do. Would love to work for you, but that's a different thing entirely.

Ever since your reveal of some of the exotics you're taking a look at and thinking about incorporating into 3.0 Keywords, I have been summarily terrified of one thing. Polaris Lance, and what you are thinking of doing to it.

I love this gun, the feel, the look, the gameplay, and even the music nerd in me loves the incorporation of 'the perfect fifth' motif.

HOWEVER.
Though my PVE usage is somewhat low, I main this weapon in PVP, and in its current state, you are able to down two guardians in 5 shots total. 3 crits to down the first guardian, the next loads the Perfect 5th round, and the 5th crit, along with the explosion, AND THE BURN DAMAGE, will kill the second guardian (this obviously is discounting any potential dragonfly damage.)

I specify burn damage here, because, as it stands, Scorch cannot kill in PVP, but the Perfect 5th does not scorch, it burns. I will be genuinely upset, and the gun will be significantly worse off in a PVP sense.

All this said, some of the other options? Sunshot, Prometheus, even one of my other favourite exotics, Leviathan's Breath, bring me great excitement to see what you'll come up with to improve upon these weapons. But please. PLEASE do not ruin Polaris Lance in PVP by making it scorch on the Perfect 5th.
