Darkness Immortality (Osiris and Eris)

So to my understanding, since Eris and Osiris both lost their ghost. With Eris (and also Osiris?) being drained of the light they have lost their immortality right?
Now this is a huge bummer for destiny's best relationship. Saint can't be allowed to be alone without his Osiris.
Does Eris and Osiris wielding the darkness, Stasis and Strand respectively (not sure if either has dabbled with the other, assuming Osiris has), give them their immortality back?
Can my favourite relationship continue to go on?
