The Tower had been destroyed. The Red Legion were making themselves comfortable and Viper wasn't having any of it, "Get the hell off our home ya damn Space Rhino's!" The sound of a Golden Gun rang through the air before six bullets were quickly fired off in rapid succession. Six Legionaries burned to ash as Solar Light consumes their very beings instantly.

The Hunter pulls out his Hand Cannon and begins sprinting his way through the halls listening to the comms through his Ghost Aria

Holliday: Zavala, picked up that Guardian you never shut up about.

Viper chuckles, "Sounds like Wolfie's here." Aria looks at Viper, "THAT 'Wolfie'?" Viper holds his hand up to silence Aria before stopping against the corner of a wall. He quietly reaches for his throwing knife to use as a mirror to see what he's up against. A Colossus. "Fun stuff." He mumbled out loud in a sarcastic tone. Aria looked up and saw a vent she could fly into and chuckled, "I got this."

Viper watched as his trusty partner in crime flew and blinked herself or whatever it is ghosts do to teleport into the vents while he prepped and readied his Stillpiercer Sniper Rifle to which her voice echoed through the vents as she yelled, "Help! Oh Help! I'm a wealthy helpless southern belle of a socialite trapped in this grimy vent trying to escaped from the ugly looking Cabal." The Colossus immediately started firing it's rotary cannon at the vents to which point Viper took that as his signal to shoot down the Colossus. First shot, Body Shot. Stops the big lug from firing and puts his attention on Viper. Second Shot, Another body shot. The Colossus snarls as he readies and aims his gun at Viper. Third Shot, A head shot. The Colossus drops dead, "That was a little too close for comfort." Aria transmats back to Vipers side, "You're definitely getting better with that-V! Behind you!" Viper quickly turns around to see a Gladiatior come charging in and slashes at Viper with it's Severus Axe. Viper has no time to dodge so he attempts to block with his Sniper in hand.

His sniper rifle is cut clean into two pieces but it saves him from a similar fate. Viper quickly back flips to get some distance before throwing his throwing knife into the Gladiator's eye stunning it for the prime oppurtunity for a finishing strike. Viper quickly summons the Golden Gun for a single shot to the Gladiator's sternum killing it.

"That was a little too close for comfort V." Aria said as she stared at her Guardian looking at his favorite Sniper Rifle lying on the floor cleaved in two pieces, "Dammit...I really liked that gun." Aria chimes in, "Hate to spoil the moment V but we got a situation." Aria taps into comms again.

Zavala: Cayde! What's your status?

Cayde-6: Uh… little low on ammo. The whole flaming pistol [static] burning out. Anyone… [static]… heard from Ikora?

Viper curses under his breath, "Aria let's move. Where's Cayde?" They start making a break for the nearest exit, "Scanners put him at...The Lower Hangars. Camera feeds show him dealing with about 30 or so Red Legion. Already mapping you the quickest route."

Viper dashes his way through the path Aria mapped for him quickly gunning down any Cabal that stood in his way and picking up whatever spare ammo he could find along the way which sadly wasn't much. As the arrived at the next exit Aria chimes, "There's Cayde!"

Viper slides in beside Cayde taking cover behind some debris and sarcastically greets his Vanguard while firing a few rounds off from his Hand Cannon at the Red Legion, "Hi Honey. Did you miss me? I see the neighbours decided to just let themselves in and set the place on fire." Cayde smirks and shakes his head, "You're timing couldn't be perfect V. What do you got for me?" Cayde pops his head out and fireflies one of the Red Legion with the Ace of Spades, "Oh you know I was just having a lovely bowl of Ramen on my day off till some Cabal decided it would be a fun idea to invade the Last City and ruin a perfectly good meal!" Viper throws a Tripwire Grenade into a Legionary's face to which point it turns to look at a fellow Cabal and detonates the laserwire.

Aria and Sundance stare at each other and stare back at their Guardians before replying in unison, "Get a room you two." The Exo Hunters both give their Ghosts a disapproving look, "So I'll be honest V. I'm down to my last shot. How about you?" Viper looks to see he's only got 3 shots left, "Three." Cayde looks confused, "I just noticed. Where's your Stillpiercer?" Viper wipes away a fake tear and drones, "She was a casuality of battle. Cut in two pieces." Cayde looked annoyed, "Dammit. I wanted that gun." Viper punches Cayde's shoulder, "Get your own goddammit!" Aria yells, "Enough you two! Go ki...kill. V? Help..." Viper looks concerned as Aria begins to struggle to floating and speaking and catches her before she falls, "Aria!" Viper looked over to see Sundance wasn't feeling so hot as well, "What's happening Cayde?" Cayde looking serious, "This isn't good. We need to get out of here now." Cayde quickly pockets Sundance and looks over the cover to see a red barrel with fuel in it and fires the Ace causing it to explode violently and giving the two Hunters a chance to escape.

"Cayde I can't summon The Golden Gun or an Arc Blade and Aria's not responding. What did they do?" Cayde looks over to the cage attached to The Traveler as they run through the hangar to find a ship, "The Traveler...They must've cut off the light from us somehow. We're sitting ducks right now. We take one fatal blow and that's it V our ghosts won't be able to revive us." Viper laughs and says, "I know you and I like high stakes gambling but I did not sign up for this." Cayde can't help but laugh as well, "You and me both. I see my ship. Quick! Hop on!"

As they fly off and escape the Last City Viper looks down to see so many citizens trying to escape, "Hey Bossman. Mind letting me down outside the wall? Gonna do my part to help the populace escape." Cayde smirks, "You're a big softie ya know that? But I got ya, Give those space rhinos hell." Viper shrugs and gives Cayde a finger gun pose, "Don't go dying on me Cayde. You owe me a bowl of Ramen for saving your metallic ass when we get through this." The hatch door to Cayde's ship opens, "Yeah I had that handled perfectly fine thank you so I owe you nothing." Cayde shakes his head before talking to Viper again, "I'll be out of the system searching for anything we can use. You better survive this Viper." Viper waves him off, "Yeah yeah. By the way I'm borrowing one of your sniper rifles. Consider it incentive to make it back alive." Viper-7 takes one of the many weapons lying around in Cayde's ship and heads off into the forest to help any survivors. Cayde laughs and calls Viper a little punk before flying off.

Viper stands alone in the forest with a Sniper Rifle in hand before he hears a faint but broken voice in the pocket of his pants, "V..." Viper smiles at the sound of a familar voice, "Welcome back Aria. Take a backseat for now partner. I got a job to do."
