Another day another clean up patrol for Viper-7. As usual he stopped by The Hangar doing his regular routine. Feeding The Colonel, Checking up on Amanda, Giving the leftover seeds he had to Saint and being crushed in one of the Titans infamous hug, and listening to the local gossip for where he might be needed today.

Word of mouth was focused pretty heavily on TheTangled Shore today. Viper sighed before Aria chimed in a rather peaceful tone compared to her usual snarky attitude, "We can always go somewhere else if you want?" The Exo shook his head and said, "It's fine. Prep my usual loadout Aria. We're going to visit The Spider's neck of the woods today."

The Guardian and his Ghost arrive in Theives Landing and decide to take residence at a sniping perch atop the entrance of Wingship Dock Lost Sector. The two have a decent view of the majority of Theives Landing. Todays target was mainly Scorn. The talk around the hangar said the Scorn were starting to get active again on The Tangled Shore. Viper figured Zavala would be arranging for a Strike Team to hunt down The Fanatic again to put the Scorn on another temporary hiatus but until then he figured he'd do his part and reduce the number of Scorn in the area by putting a few bullets in them.

"V I got readings near The Empty Tank." Viper takes his seat and readies his Beloved, "Copy that. I see them." Aria was his support and his rock and honestly one of very few he'd would consider family, "Beloved has a full magazine ready V. 17 Shots. 12 Targets. So you can afford to miss a little. Knock'em dead." He smirks as best as an Exo can and whispers, "Line'em up."

Viper scans the area through his scope. 12 targets just like Aria said. 8 Stalkers, 2 Lurkers, 1 Raider, and 1 Chieftain. V immediately took aim at the Raider first. You never want another Sniper finding out where you are and getting the drop on you. He aimed carefully focusing on it's head and took a deep breath before firing his shot. It screamed suddenly writhing in pain and dark ether released from it's body before collapsing dead on the ground. The rest of the group begins to scatter and scan the area for where the shot could've possibly came from.

"Idiots..." He muttered angirly under his breath. The Chieftain began summoning a Void totem but before he could manifest it fully Viper put 3 rounds in the Chieftain killing it and putting the remainder of the group in further disarray now that the leader of the group laid dead. The Lurkers had their shields held up high and Viper was taking his time reloading for his next four shots.

Aria looked concerned, "V take it easy. Don't let this get personal again." Viper takes aim and fires his gun again killing one of the Stalkers that strayed to far from the main group most likely in an attempt to escape, "I'm fine Aria. Keep an eye out. One almost managed to escape." Another bullet fired but the Lurker's shield managed to block it at the last second. Viper cursed under his breath before taking aim again and shooting the Lurker that blocked his shot in the leg staggering it and then firing one more time in it's head killing it.

"Reloading. How we doing Aria?" Viper said as he prepared his began reloading his rifle, "4 Down. 8 to go. 9 Shots left." Viper took aim again, "The Lurker is my biggest problem. Damn shield. I hate the Scorn so damn much..." Another shot goes off killing off another Stalker. Aria looks at her Guardian concerned, "It hurts doesn't it?" Viper takes another shot and another Stalker falls to the ground dead, "What Aria?" Another round another Stalker.

"Cayde's death..." The final shot goes off and hits the mark before he pops the magazine out and loads another, "It never stops hurting Aria. It's why I wear this Cloak. It's why I try my best to imitate his jovial attitude. It's why I want to try and be half as good as a Hunter as he was." Viper takes aim seeing the Lurker has its back turned on him and quickly takes the oppurtunity presented to kill it. Another booming echo of his sniper roars through Theives Landing as another Scorn falls dead to the ground, "Three stragglers left...Four shots left.Not bad..."

Viper's cloak was a custom made order from Eververse of the original Vanguard Dare Cloak Cayde-6 wore before his death at the hands of Uldren Sov. Tess didn't question it and happily gave it to Viper when it was finished. It looked good on him and she even commented how he kinda looked like Cayde wearing it. He took very good care of it and always wore it ever since he first got it and rarely ever took it off save for events like the recent Guardian Games.

Viper had fired his remaining shots and killed the remaining stalkers. The Scorn lay motionless across the ground of Theives Landing as Viper from a top his perch stared coldly at their dead bodies, "That Cloak is heavier than it looks isn't V?" V nods silently before answering, "Yeah...but I'm fine with that. Wouldn't trade this Cloak for anything in the world."
