So I just saw that Destiny has a debate this Sunday against Sean Last on Politically Provoked about immigration and changing demographics. As someone who's seen Politically Provoked devolve further into right wing anti-immigrant nationalism over the last few months, culminating in their interview of Richard Spencer, why is Destiny giving them a larger platform?
Does he think there's any argument to be won against "foreigners bad"? He already hit all the points in his debate with Miyo about how our culture is foreigner influenced, our economy only grows from immigration, and how differences in crime rates and IQ can be explained societally instead of genetically. Why bother rehashing the same argument with another right winger?
Is there really anything to be gained from this debate or are we just watching entertainment at this point, similar to how cable news shows us what we want to see, not what we need to? If it's the latter, I'd argue this is doing more harm than good and Destiny needs to rethink his engagement with these far-right platforms.
