Making the goat cheese cheesecake as a regular cheesecake

Post Body
Goat cheese isn't readily available where I live so I was wondering, can this recipe be made by just swapping out the goat cheese with more cream cheese? I know I certainly will miss out on all the nuances that the goat cheese will give but I am pretty much okay with it. Out of all the cheesecake recipes I have seen, only Claire's feels reasonable with the cheese amounts. 2 pounds of cream cheese in a majority of recipes seems very excessive to me. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
