Pun intended and obvi spoilers for anyone who’s on season one, also dear god, please don’t comment any spoilers for other seasons cause I will read all the comments and dodging spoilers in this sub is hard enough.

Okay so season 2 to me was significantly weaker than season 1 but I still liked it.

Susan — all the doctor Ron stuff was terrible and tbh I never believed them as a couple. The whole thing was so random. I thought the wandering spleen thing was a joke but it was all a plot tool to further the Karl thing. I grew to really like Karl though. The best part of Susan’s story was Mike being supportive after the fire. I don’t think she really had a purpose for the rest of the season.

Gabby — I think her character was the best written. Everything seemed pretty on brand for her. I think there’s a lot of things with Xiao Mei that was pretty racist and probably wouldn’t fly on tv today but yeah, very on brand. Also I’m no OBGYN but idk why one fall would make her barren?

Lynette — I think this was my second least favourite subplot. I kind of get the vibe that Tom and Lynette don’t like each other. I kind of feel like the season was leading up to Tom cheating in Atlantic City and I’m I kind of feel like the season was leading up to Tom cheating in Atlantic City and them getting a divorce. The secret Child thing would’ve been great if the kid was younger and we found out he cheated on her. The whole season kind of made him look like a slacker piece of shit. Nora is annoying and I’m not looking forward to seeing her in future episodes. Really love Mrs. McCluskey though.

Bree — she was so poorly written this whole season. From George and Rex to that random ass DUI, her AA sponsor fucking her son, to the loony bin. The lawsuit and those pictures would have had CPS out there. There was too much going on with Bree. The psych ward was heavy on the drama especially since she wouldn’t really have had her phone to get Betty’s phone call. They probably would’ve had her on suicide watch. She’s also so crazy for jumping from Rex to George to the sponsor to Orson. I think they need to tone it down on her.

Edie — I could’ve done without Edie the whole season. She’s just entertaining though, but again she should be in jail for beating up some random hooters waitress.

I know I know I know anytime you watch a show you should have your willing suspension of belief on. I just feel like a lot of the little sub plots were reaches on this season. Two crazy things had to happen for one normal thing to happen.
