My boyfriend is always stepping on me for rewatching shows that I've seen before, and says I should try stuff I've never watched before. So as a happy middle ground I have decided to hone in on super popular shows from back in the day, that I watched one or two episodes of, loved, but never completed.

Desperate Housewives was one of those shows. I know the characters vaguely but I don't remember the storyline at all besides for Jesse-Metcalfe-hot-gardener-cheating-with-Gabriella. I loved the vibe of it and the general comedy drama suspense weird mystery combo.

What I want to know was, did this show end well? Without spoilers, did the fan base enjoy the ending of the show overall? It didn't end in a Game of Thrones situation did it? I don't want to invest emotional energy into a show that ends in disappointment.
