Random but I have been thinking about this the past few weeks:

Shalwar kameez, sarees, kurtis/fotuwas are just so nice! I wear kurtis on a semi-regular basis because it's just another top with some added ~flavor~. I was born and grew up entirely in Canada/United States, so maybe others in the same situation feel differently, but I honestly have always liked wearing shalwar kameez over a Western dress. I feel like there are more stylistic choices to be made in kameez compared to dresses. And sarees, once you get past the difficulty of wearing them and ignoring the bathroom acrobatics, are really pretty and can make anyone of any size/age/color/height look fantastic.

I miss going to desi parties every other weekend and seeing everyone dressed up 😔 Wouldn't it be great if we could share our outfits for various celebrations on this subreddit? Just a thought!
