I’m a 40 year old desi woman who affairs.

Why? Same reason as most of you. Dead bedroom, lack of emotional and mental connection with my significant other (SO).

Why not divorce? Because I have young children who need their dad. Because my South Asian family will never support me. As far as they are concerned, if he doesn’t beat me, or an addict, there is no reason to divorce.

An affair is a way for me to have my needs met without disrupting my family. I’ve met some incredible men who have enriched my life and made me happy, which makes me a better wife and mom.
