I don't think it's herpes, but...
Post Body

Over the last few days, I had a strange occurance on the upper lip on the right side. At first, it was a smooth, red bump for a couple days. Shortly after, it subsided and I saw a duo or trio of small white spots for another two days. This morning, I woke up to find a small scab on the area.

I went to the herpes subreddit where someone said it was the virus, but the scenario was different than the steps usually associated with an outbreak - I felt no pain, no discharge or mucosal overflow, nor other weird/unnerving effects.

I do have a habit of biting my lips due to stress or hunger. Still, is it the virus?
