I have developed this red blistery rash on my face and neck & spreading on to my chest. Also it’s effected my eyes and vision. I’ve seen my GP several times, and taken the usual meds to get it under control. Have used Mino & doxy also had to add antibiotic creams as eye lids and ears became infected. Used a short term dex treatment, and it came with a vengeance. GP & myself both agreed it was a band aid approach. Biopsy done, nothing there & blood tests all negative for autoimmune disease.

I do have eczema, elbows knees etc. This to me this is different. It feels like I have been burnt, and then my lips eye lids all peel & cracks. Plus a few ulcers in my mouth to make me more miserable.

Saw an eye Dr they advised, inflammation dryness and probably a systemic cause. Steroid eye drops have helped.

So see a dermatologist, again they say eczema. Not dermatitis, no change in diet no change in soap etc. Treat with a few days of Pred & use elidel cream on other areas, plus 5 days of extra strength elidel. I feel like I have wasted $ 350, no better ways of treating infected areas or managing.. I can barely open my mouth due to to tightness and dry skin. My eyes are stretched and tight due to the swelling.
Dr didn’t think this was an issue, 🫠 once I’ve done this for a month and had a blood test to prove I don’t have HIV or syphilis. Then to consider if I’m suitable for injection..

Also this a highly recommended dermatology clinic. I was lucky to get an appointment, or be waiting until November..
