Can you go to the nail salon / get a manicure with broken or damaged skin?
Post Body

I booked my first ever manicure and the appointment is tomorrow. TW for relapse I relapsed pretty bad today though and the skin on two of my fingers are damaged and bleeding. It's fairly bad.

I don't want to waste their time, and I'm worried about going in tomorrow. I can't call ahead because the appointment is first thing in the morning just as they open.

Comments

This depends. I went to school for nail tech and they teach us to not work on clients who have infections or fungus growth. But it really depends on what the broken and damage skin is caused by and if it would effect how your nails would be able to be handled. An experienced nail tech would be able to determine if it would be harmful or not.
