The Open House's next stream (Oct 23rd) will be for Star Citizen fans and insiders to answer Derek's claims
Post Body

The Open House, which hosted a discussion with Derek Smart (and others) last week and heard his claims about Star Citizen, has scheduled their next stream for October 23rd. They have invited Star Citizen fans and insiders to join them and get to the bottom of rumors about the project.

The URL for the stream is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc0pCaHpuZY

"Please remember, this is about discussing the issues and not about personally attacking any that would doubt the project." This cannot be iterated enough. Derek gains ammunition when he becomes the target of personal attacks, racist comments, or anything else that does not address the issues themselves. In his previous livestreams, I have been embarrassed to see in chat a good number of racial slurs, name-calling, etc that do nothing to rebut his claims or further the conversation. We do not need to stoop to that level, so whether you are watching from chat or participating, I would remind everyone to please take the high road, choose your words carefully, keep the conversation civil, the tone respectful, and the claims rational. I'm not sure if they have already sent out the invites or if they are still accepting participants, but if you would like to join them and can keep things civil, I would encourage you to message them and see about getting in on the conversation. It ought to be interesting!

Here is a link to their previous stream (over 11 hours long), if anyone wishes to review what was said between them and Derek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xWDJsevoio
