Interested in meeting someone local and it’s the most cliche Denver day I could think of. What are some of your favorite local spots?. I’ve tried making friends and catching feeling with people who are halfway around the world and it’s not the same as being in the same zip code. If distance is the first piece of the puzzle, I think compatibility is the second. It would be great if we had something in common, maybe we have similar interests/hobbies (cooking/baking, photography, sitcoms with laugh tracks, the occasional outdoor activity, and making stuff). Or it could be that we have similar backgrounds (I’m a first gen Asian American, have lived in 9 states, and try to live a minimalist life) or shared beliefs (round Earther and emo music lover).
Not sure if it’s typical of this sub but I'm in a relationship. My partner and I believe that one person can’t (and shouldn’t) meet every need so we think it’s OK if there are other people in our lives that provide pieces that are missing. That typically takes the form of a platonic friend and nothing more. While I’m interested physical relationships there has never been a good enough match. So I’m open to anything from platonic conversation to a physical relationship and whatever may be in between. The ideal situation is that we get along and live relatively close to each other so we can meet up. Opening messages can be awkward. What to ask, what to reveal, how much to write, etc. Don’t over think it and tell me about yourself and what you’re looking for, let’s get to know each other.
