Charter digging up yards
Post Body

It looks like Charter Communications is putting in fiber optic in our neighborhood. They are digging one to two 30-inch holes in every house's front yard. I assume it's so they can place junction boxes for the optical cable.

Where they're digging is exactly in the path of a yard irrigation line that runs on my property; it's the same for most of the yards on my side of the street. The properties on the other side of the street, where they have started, don't have yard irrigation systems.

I've read of some horror stories related to this sort of work and I'm very much afraid they're going to cut my lines which are only about six to eight inches below the surface. I'm also afraid there won't be much I can do to get them to repair any damage they might cause.

Anyone have experience with this sort of thing in the event they do cause damage?
