So it’s been almost a decade since I’ve been to a dentist, due to anxiety, school, stress, etc. and my oral care has been crap. I’ve episodes of depression where I’d burst once every 2 weeks and not floss for months ( gross I know). Now I have this wisdom tooth that I’m convinced is decaying because I flossed it and it stinks. And I can’t chew on that side. I messed up for not taking care of my teeth, but I’m changing that, I’ve been brushing and flossing everyday for the last 2 weeks. And I know it won’t repair the years of damage but that smelly wisdom tooth is still smelling, and i hate having the bad breath, even after scraping my tongue. I finally got a stable job and dental insurance just kicked in. Idk how to approach a Dentist without fear of judgment, and anxiety from Prior dental visits. Any tips, reassurance would be appreciated.
