Still have baby teeth with no adult teeth under them, extreme sensitivity, what should I do?
Post Body

Hi, so basically I am 20, and on both the top and bottom of my jaw I have baby teeth that never grew adult teeth under them, one on each side, so four in total. Specifically the bottom two are extremely sensitive to both cold, hot, and sugar.

Drinking ice water, eating a cookie, having a hot drink all make me hold my jaw in pain. I can’t eat any kind of gummy snack or vitamin anymore because of it.

I also have been told by my dentist that because of the way my front teeth are shaped, I never really can comfortably close my mouth, so my front teeth are always exposed to air, which makes them more sensitive.

I use sensitive toothpaste. I would like to, in the future, get braces/Invisalign to fix my front teeth. However, I’ve been told different things by different dentists about the baby teeth, and wonder what you guys would recommend?

One dentist told me to leave them alone and not pull them, because if I did my teeth would move in weird ways. Another told me I should have them pulled if they’re causing me pain, but then said she couldn’t guarantee how they’d affect the rest of my teeth (understandable).

However, if I got them pulled and then got braces, would there be more control about how the teeth moved? Or would it still be just a guess?
