On Wednesday I had all four wisdom teeth removed and a root canal/crown done on one tooth. The wisdom teeth seem to be healing as expected and are not causing much pain anymore. The tooth that the root canal was performed on though is another story.
It is still in a significant amount of pain. The tooth hurts to the touch or the slightest pressure, on that entire side of my face my jaw hurts when pressed, and that side of my face is still swollen.
I have only been taking Tylenol the last two days but it hasn’t really helped with the swelling or the pain. I was prescribed Percocet but only took it for two days as the wisdom teeth were no longer hurting and it upset my stomach. I have also been taking amoxicillin that was prescribed as well.
I have been icing to help with the pain but it slowly really help much. I have a dentist appointment scheduled for tomorrow but I may have to postpone as I am not comfortable driving yet.
Any suggestions on what could be causing the extended pain or what I could do to help lessen the pain?
I tried to provide all relevant information and I don’t think a picture would be helpful in this instance but please let me know if any additional information would be useful.
