Should I be able to do this? I just got my crown about a month ago, and this past week I noticed that my gums have pulled back a little and I can floss underneath the implant. I'm assuming that if my floss can fit under there, then so can bacteria, so I should clean it. But should I? Am I just shoving bacteria deeper or am I actually cleaning it? Should I use a waterpik instead? And yeah, it bleeds.
I'm making a "C" shape with the floss, flossing normally...the first few weeks after the crown was placed, I avoided the area...now that I'm flossing it, I find that I can actually go underneath the crown. Am I doing the right thing? Will it stop bleeding soon?
