toothache and lump on gum on other side of mouth
Post Body

Hi, over the last 48 hours I have developed toothache on one of my front top teeth. It’s not sensitive to hot/cold, not really sensitive to pressure (maybe a little bit). It’s more like a dull ache inside the tooth. The pain isn’t unbearable but is getting worse.

I have also noticed a gold/brown lump has developed on my gum, on the opposite side - about 5 teeth apart. It doesn’t hurt at all. Image here https://imgur.com/a/6SnGlNm

I have booked an urgent appointment for Tuesday 2nd April, but was wondering if a) do I need to be seen more urgently? B) are the two things related? C) apart from paracetamol is there anything else I can do?

Comments

The fact that the bump is so far from the tooth that is hurting makes me think it's not related; but as hygienists we're not allowed to diagnose.
