How to fix cavities without getting a filling?

Post Body

I've noticed a few cavities on my back molars recently, and I've been brushing twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste, using mouthwash and rubbing a little bit of the toothpaste on the affected teeth before I go to bed to try and help. They only hurt a little bit every now and then, however I really really don't want to have to get a filling as I am autistic and have really bad sensory issues when it comes to my mouth. I had temporary fillings as a child on my baby teeth, and I remember if being absolute hell. If there is anything I can do to fix this without getting fillings please please please let me know.

If they are true cavities they will need to be filled. Drilling on teeth isn't fun for anyone but maybe you can find an office that does light sedation or nitrous. You might be better equipped to handle the stress now that you're older too. Ask the doctor to explain each step to you as they do it. It might help your anxiety a little.
