Hello. So recently I got into a internship for a dental assistant three days ago and tomorrow morning is my fourth day. I am still at school for dental assisting. I intern there from 9-5 pm. It’s been fun and amazing, everyone is very helpful and very nice. I loved the staff and especially the dentists. I actually like learning-working there as an intern dental assistant.

The question is, how long should I intern for, and should I discuss this with the manager? I basically did talk about this with my manager and told me that they would start paying me around/near when I start doing my dental radiology program. At which I will get paid as a dental assistant with Xray . Which is first week of February.

Now is this normal that I intern/work there for 30hours per week with no pay? From the day I started (Dec 13th) to February 1st?

If not, what should I do? Should I keep being with them? Any tips and help would be very much appreciated!!
