As you approach the council hall, you see a piece of paper, held by a knife, and pinned to the door of the Councilary Chambers. Looking around, you see this piece of paper on every door throughout the town, even the king's palace. It reads:
9 Theses Against Restarting
It destroys hard work. This game has been worked on for many sessions. All that work is meaningless if we don't reach farther into the game.
We are denied the chance to see the type of nation we are building though our democracy.
New DLCs will require extensive changes to the constitution, which we will have to make before we can even start a new session.
It is unfair to the king and heir and ministers who worked so hard to get in the position they are now, or waited a long time before they got lucky enough to be chosen; they deserve to play the game.
This is the nation chosen by our own founder, Lance, he deserves to at least know that his game that he started made it to completion.
The reason for this experiment is not to see new DLC, you can easily do that one your own time, this is simply to have a democracy and shown it's effectiveness, something easily accomplished without the new DLC.
Disbanding the factions erases many of the history of DU. Communalists may never reform, BK may not reform, and they are important parts of DU's history and community.
Many of the deals made between parties will never come to fruition, those who levered long term advantages instead of short term gratification will be punished, never seeing any return on their investment
It sets a dangerous precedent. If we show the future people of DU that restarting is acceptable, then they may continue to do so, making all of the other disadvantages occur over and over again.
People of DU, please think carefully. This decision should not be taken lightly, and I hope you consider the full ramifications of your vote before making it. Don't be afraid to contact the moderation if you desire to change your vote. The future of DU rests on this.
