Seeing as prom was quickly approaching, Harper decided that it may be a good idea to bring her fellow demigods to the city to shop for appropriate attire. Okay, so it had technically been Mr D's suggestion; she was the one doing it, wasn't she? Either way, she would be able to continue to fulfill her duties as a counsellor as well as somehow find a dress. That sounds like an ideal two-birds-with-one-stone type situation to her.
After piling everyone in and out of the camp vans, Harper gathered everyone to give them a strict talking to before setting them loose.
"Right, you all know the drill by now," she began, listing each point on her fingers. "Stick with someone else at all times, but don't go around in big groups. Absolutely no phones or technology. Try not to cause a scene by using your powers on mortals or something. If you see a monster please try not to engage unless they're after you. Obviously we've got prom coming up, so it might be wise for those of you that have decided to go to find yourselves something fun to wear. We'll leave in three hours- please show up on time, I really don't want to deal with Chiron if someone gets left behind."
Harper makes a shooing motion with her hands. "Have fun, make good decisions!"
Keri didnt particularly care about prom. Dancing was fun, but the poofy dresses and all the pomp around it wasn't something she was particularly into. No, she was here for one thing and one thing only: catching up on what had gone down in the world of pro wrestling since she'd gotten to camp. Which had been a few weeks now, so that was gonna be quite a lot of stuff to download. She needed to find a library or some place to access the sites she normally used for it all, but before she could go running off she needed to find a partner. Someone who wouldn't rat her out.
"Yeah I'm more into soccer than the rest of that, I played softball in like... fifth grade? Just lunchtime league at school though, nothing actually serious." Keri shrugged thinking back on it all now. Sports weren't something she was huge on, even with soccer she was only a casual fan. "So is baseball your thing, or...?"
With a laugh, she replied, "Yeah I'm not from that far north, just out in Calgary. I mean technically I'm from Washington but I've been living there for a few years with family. Its kinda cool up there though, I like it. People are nice enough, everyone fuckin loves hockey, which isn't really my thing but I can follow it well enough now because of 'em."
"Part of me wishes I could do that more. I usually just talk shit when someone's an asshole to me since I can't-"
Keri paused for a moment, taking a breath but trying to make it seem more like she had talked herself out of breath rather than doing so intentionally. "Can't punch people whenever I want to. Anyway, yeah, I get what you mean. Stupid games, stupid prizes, right?"
She tried her best not to laugh, but a quiet chuckle couldn't help but slip out. "Sometimes its earned, right? Gotta do what you gotta do. I can't exactly go around hitting people randomly, but if they're being an asshole its whatever."
"Calgary, by way of Spokane," she replied with confidence, actually rather having liked Calgary for what it was. "Ended up staying with some family there a few years back. Sorry about what happened with school, that shit sounds like it sucked."
"Not really. I've been to camp a few times before but just in the summer. Things got a little tense back home so I'm kinda here for good now, or at least until I'm old enough to go out on my own."
Keri let out a quiet sigh, spotting the bookstore up ahead but keeping quiet about it for now. "What about you? I don't think I recognize you from the last couple times I was here."
Keri nodded at the suggestion, not really needing too much time for what she was up to today. Plus it would be nice to go for a walk around the city and see what was out there. Maybe she'd even pick up an outfit for the hell of it while they were at it. "Sounds good. I'm Keri, by the way."
"Well I've gotta stop by a library or a book shop or somewhere like that to pick up a couple books I've been thinking about reading," she replied, not entirely lying either. There were a few titles she'd been meaning to check out, and if the place had any decent wi-fi as you'd expect from such a shop, she could download while she browsed. It was a win-win. "As far as like prom stuff, I'm not even sure I'm going to that, so its whatever."

At the sound of someone just walking up and acknowledging her, Keri had a slightly startled look in her eyes, but she nodded in response. "Guess so, yeah. You looking for anything in particular, or just sorta planning to wander?"
It was worth figuring out, at least.
