Clothing: Her style is purely utilitarian, with none of the clothes she owns having been selected because they were fashionable. She dresses primarily in pants and t shirts, all chosen for comfort and based on what fits, any aesthetic value being secondary.

• Hive Queen: She can exert control over insects that have a eusocial hive structure- bees, wasps, ants, and termites. By default, these insects will simply ignore her and not attempt to harm her unless she takes hostile action against them. However, by focusing on them, she can assume direct control, and for as long as she maintains her focus, give them simple instructions that they will obey to the best of their ability.

• Expert Tracker: Aristaeus is, among other things, the protector of hunters, and his daughter is an expert tracker. As long as she has something she can use to find a trail, such as a footprint, scrap of fur or clothing, or something equivalent, she can track whatever left it with incredible accuracy, almost having a sixth sense when it comes to tracking her quarry. She must have some kind of physical source to begin tracking, knowing what her quarry is is not sufficient in itself, and if she goes a full day without focusing on tracking, the trail is lost and must be regained using a new source.

• Minor Healing: Aristaeus is the son of Apollo the god of healing, and received training in healing from the Muses, and Emily can perform very minor healing by saying a hymn to her father. This can only heal superficial damage like minor cuts and bruises, and doing so leaves her tired and irritable until she can get a full night's sleep, up to a maximum of three uses per day.

Backstory

Emily Visser, as she has ensured everyone at camp would know her, was born in a small community in Placer County, California. Her mother was a beekeeper for the community, and after a short relationship with the god of beekeeping, Aristaeus, she married another member of the community during her pregnancy, so Emily, or Pika as her mother named her, grew up with two parents, though she grew to resent both of them, as well as the commune as a whole, in her preteen years, desiring a more normal life. When she was eleven, a satyr found her and brought her to Camp Half Blood, and she was claimed at thirteen, when she chose to stay at camp year round, seeing it as the best opportunity to escape the home life she despised. She was careful never to reveal any details about her family to her fellow campers, even those she grew closest to.

Now

Emily sat at the base of the Nature cabin tree, looking up at its branches as a pair of yellowjackets crawled up the inside of her left arm. She wasn't actively controlling the bugs, not yet at least, but hive insects like these ones often found their way to her because she never freaked out or tried to swat them, which meant that she was a safe place for them to land. She tapped her bare feet on the ground, then flicked her arm gently, dislodging the wasps and sending them back up into the air, where she idly watched them circling. Hopefully their presence wasn't going to freak anyone out.
